My name is Charles and I am a husband and father of 2 amazing daughters. I created NextGen Empowerment as a passion project of mine. I realized early on that I was blessed and extremely fortunate in multiple ways, but one stood out more than the others. I had a father who worked hard to learn how to make a better life for his family financially. As a black man, who was self taught around financial topics, he shared all the knowledge he gained with me. Many of my peers did not have the same opportunity, to no fault of their own. Not having the same access to simple financial knowledge impacted their decision making and delayed some of their dreams and goals.
That is why NextGen Empowerment was formed based on the 3 beliefs.
-
Knowledge gained should be knowledge shared
-
Decision making is a critical skill
-
Compound Interest is the 8th Wonder of the World
To accomplish the goals of increasing financial literacy, the game plan will be to take the content, material and knowledge to the individuals. I believe it has to be done in person and in the community. Knowledge has to be shared at jobs, in schools and in the homes of individuals who want better for themselves. Let's see where this journey takes us.
